New mobile app helps students earn that A

(August 14) It’s almost that time of year when students wrap up their summer fun and start focusing on the school year ahead. Whether they are in middle school, high school, or college, they will want to know about a new app called My Grades To Go that was developed by software engineer Oren Feinstein, founder and chief executive officer of Pine Ventures – a technology and consumer applications company.

Currently available on all Google-based Android devices, My Grades To Go is a grade calculator and predictor. It allows users to record multiple grades in each school subject. The app then adds up the grades and tells you what you need to score to get an A in the course.

“The app is designed for students of any age and education level who want to keep track of and predict their grades,” said Feinstein. “With its simple and intuitive interface, students can quickly see an up-to-date class average for all of their classes.”

The days of searching in binders for each quiz, test, and paper just to remember the grade you received are over. Now, students can record their grades on their mobile device as soon as they get them, and they will remain stored and continue to be factored into the prediction of what they need to make in that class to make an A.

“We are very excited about this app because predicting what they need to make an A is something all students do anyway, but now they can save time and let this app do it for them,” said Feinstein. “I would have loved to have this available to me when I was a college student.”

The full-version app costs only $0.99 to download. If students want to give it a try before they buy, Feinstein recently developed My Grades To Go Lite that students can download for free.

Feinstein said his next goal is to develop the app on other smart phone systems, including the Apple iPhone.
